Autopromotec 2022: applications are rising
19/10/2021
Autopromotec, the every-two-years international exhibition of equipment and automotive aftermarket, is confirmed as a must-see event for the industry. Long before the opening at the Bologna Exhibition Centre and well ahead of the deadline for submitting applications, the organisers are announcing outstanding figures, with several halls already full and some sectors experiencing strong growth.
The application deadline for the 29th Autopromotec exhibition, which will be held in Bologna from 25 to 28 May 2022, expires on 30 October 2021. Predictions of a successful registration campaign - showing how much companies want to return to exhibit and relaunch their business - are confirmed by the number of registrations reported by the organisers. Current registered exhibition space confirms the full range of products on display at the event, with several halls already full. Some areas are also experiencing an increase in registrations, which has led the organisers to reserve even more space for specific market sectors.
After a long time, Autopromotec 2022 is an opportunity for the players in the automotive aftermarket to meet and discover in person all the innovations involved in the technological evolution process that has been shaping the sector in recent years. This is indeed the first major event in presence since 2019.
Renzo Servadei, CEO of Autopromotec, comments on the high number of applications received: “We are very proud to confirm that Autopromotec 2022 will be massively attended by the entire national and international automotive aftermarket sector. Even before the official closing of registrations, which will be on 30 October, we can already announce this is going to be an event of a high standard in terms of both quality and number of people attending, comparable to the 2019 exhibition.”
The new visual for the 2022 Autopromotec further emphasises the close link between the human factor and the world of technology, merging together to create the next generation of sustainable mobility. In this journey towards the 2022 Autopromotec exhibition, the emblem of the event will gradually reveal itself, taking visitors ever closer to the heart of technology for the automotive aftermarket.
Autopromotec 2022: exhibition space figures, sector by sector to date
With around eight months to go until the opening of the event, the organisers are announcing current exhibition space figures. Service equipment for the tyre and lifting industry, which has been historically the core of the exhibition, remains one of the leading sectors with a registered stand space of 70%. At Autopromotec 2022, these sectors will be on display in Halls 19, 22 and part of 29.
As far as Hall 30 goes - where diagnostic equipment will be displayed - the exhibition space is currently 80% full. This sector focuses on the new regulations for vehicle overhauls, but also on servicing increasingly connected vehicles, which require a great deal of technological development, as well as advanced man-machine interfaces.
Another fundamental sector for Autopromotec that is showing a strong growth is that of equipment and products for body repair shops. Here, for Halls 26 and 29, the registered space capacity is 90%. Technological innovations in the sector will be the main focus here.
The spare parts industry, which is the most recent to have joined the exhibition, reports a significant figure: Autopromotec 2022 will be hosting 4 halls specifically for this sector, compared to 3 in the previous show. All the new products in the area of spare parts, components and car service will be on display in Halls 14, 16, 18 and 21, which are already 70% full.
In the tyre and wheel market, many of the major players from the last show - including vendors and dealers - have already registered to attend. However, a distinction must be made here as there is a 60% confirmation rate among Western companies, while a slowdown is seen in the Far East region as a result of current travel restrictions affecting a number of countries in the area. A highlight for this sector is the “Recircle Awards” event, hosted during Autopromotec 2022 and organised in co-operation with such well-respected magazines as “Retreading Business” and “Tyre & Rubber Recycling”, both focusing on innovation, production process, management and sustainable services within the tyre retreading and recycling sectors.
Another area of special interest for the car workshop is lubricants, with Hall 28 and part of Hall 29 reserved for this sector, which is currently 60% full.
Hall 36, where tools, compressors and multi-purpose equipment are displayed, is currently 65% full.
Finally, the Car Wash industry appears to be extremely dynamic and strategic for Autopromotec. Equipment and products for service stations, car washes and Car Care, are displayed in Hall 25, which is currently 70% full.
“All the hottest innovations and trends driving the automotive aftermarket will be in the spotlight at the exhibition - from the very latest technology in the car repair industry to the special know-how needed to keep up with changing times”, explains Renzo Servadei, Autopromotec CEO. “A special focus will also be placed on connected cars, new mobility requirements for the future, new changes in the bodywork industry as well as the latest developments in the tyre and car wash sector. These are just some of the reasons why it is so important to be attending Autopromotec 2022. With some of the halls already nearing their maximum capacity, all companies interested in exhibiting at the exhibition are recommended to speed up their application for the organisers to better respond to all requests”, Servadei concludes.
