ICE Agency in collaboration with Autopromotec and Confindustria Brescia worked hard to guarantee this participation as borders reopen
The two trade fairs AAPEX and SEMA Show, in Las Vegas (USA) have recently ended. Despite travelling restrictions, both events were held “physically” and in a certain sense they represented the reopening of the sector, at least in the western world. The two institutional areas, curated by MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) and the ICE Agency, in close collaboration with Autopromotec, AICA (Italian Garage Equipment Manufacturers Association) and the active contribution of Confindustria Brescia, hosted 8 companies on site and 9 in "hybrid" mode, despite the difficulties due to the US borders not being yet open for trade (they were formally reopened on November 8).

The ICE - Autopromotec area at the SEMA Show (South Hall Lower, Booth 47167) hosted 11 Italian automotive aftermarket companies: MWM Italy, Mazzoni, ACCU TURN (BASE group), Fasep, Comec with their products lines and local representatives, then EVO Corse, Rollbo, Rossi&Kramer, SKELETIME, Truck&Training, Vamag in “hybrid” mode; the ICE Agency - Autopromotec area at the AAPEX Show (Sands Expo, Booth A862), with the help of Confindustria Brescia, hosted 6 Italian automotive companies: Metelli - Graf, Errecom, Facet with their products and local representatives, then SIL - Wilburk, Seven Diesel and the online participation of Tecneco. All partners agree on the importance of a consistent presence in future editions of the two events, with the intention of giving visibility to as many Italian companies as possible in the post-Covid era. "This presence on such an important market as the U.S. has great value both for the commercial potential it represents and for the growth of inter-associative relations - commented Mauro Severi, president of AICA. Both AAPEX, SEMA and Autopromotec are events organized by trade associations, and this interchange will offer more opportunities to member companies and exhibitors. We look forward to U.S. exhibitors and visitors in Bologna for the next Autopromotec 2022." The vice-president of the mechanical sector of Confindustria Brescia, Alberto Metelli, said that "The responsiveness of Confindustria Brescia, ICE Agency and Autopromotec allowed several companies from our territory to be present in Las Vegas with countless representatives: a synergy was created that enhanced the know-how of all the players involved. We were thus able to maximize the use of the public resources allocated for the participation of our companies in the fair. In addition, ICE Agency was able to respond with extreme flexibility to our request to extend the project to AAPEX, with extra funds specifically allocated. A good number of firms were interested in the project, but the constraints imposed by the pandemic unfortunately led to a limited participation. We hope, for the next edition, to capitalize on the efforts made this year with an even larger participation from Brescia. This result, which I consider positive, confirms how teamwork brings results, especially in a world characterized by increasingly fierce competition".

"The excellence of our automotive supply chain has ancient roots and today, design, innovation and technology Made in Italy, is appreciated and recognized all over the world - said Carlo Ferro, president of ICE Agency -. The automotive industry was significantly affected by the pandemic and the entire country’s productive fabric, in which ICE plays a vital role, is coming to the rescue promoting a rapid and solid recovery on international markets, keeping an eye on changing consumer habits shifting in the direction of digital technology and Smart Mobility. We do this also through our participation in international aftermarket fairs, of which Autopromotec is a sterling example. I am pleased that the ICE Agency has contributed to the results obtained together with Autopromotec and Confindustria Brescia."
